NYAMFT State Conference Follow-up
Grateful thanks to everyone that made our 2008 conference a success! Presenters, attendees, and NYAMFT volunteers all contributed to a very successful 3 days! Comments include...
- Great conference! The conference committee pulled off one wonderful program. You should be proud of your work.
- I found the audience to be engaged, challenging and overall a group of really nice people.
- So relevant on all different levels for so many varied professionals
- I think that it ended up being a multidimensional conference that offered our members a great deal, and I was thrilled to see so many students participating.
The presentations by our board members-Anita Peetush Astley, Darci Cramer-Benjamin, and Ellen Gregory, showed in different ways that the field can be as good as we choose to make it. They each described how while they were presented with obstacles along the way, they each had a vision for their work and keep promoting it to others in very positive terms. I see them as being exemplary of the future of MFT.
See you next year in New York City!

An article from Syracuse Post-Standard's "Healthy Central New York" magazine (January 27, 2008, by Amber Smith, Health & Fitness editor), features NYAMFT member Susan Hartman Brenizer.
Happy couples in committed relationships prepare healthy meals together. They remind each other to go to doctor appointments, to take their medication. They tend to exercise more. As they age, they become caretakers of one another. |
